Environmental Schemes & Grants

With the NFU’s aim that UK farms will be carbon neutral by 2040, how we farm is changing. WebbPaton LLP are at the forefront of these changes and our team have many years’ experience advising farmers with the ever-changing range of current and previous environmental schemes, including:

  • Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI)
  • Countryside Stewardship Scheme (CSS)
  • CSS Capital Grants including Catchment Sensitive Farming consents
  • Higher Level Stewardship (HLS)
  • Farming Equipment Technology Fund (FETF)
  • Slurry Infrastructure Grant
  • Calf Housing Grant
  • Improving Farm Productivity Grant (including solar panels)
  • SFI Annual Health and Welfare Review
  • England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO)
  • MOREwoods
  • Woodland Tree Health Grant

We also assist farmers with a range of other paperwork including compiling Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ) records, obtaining consents for Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Temporary Land Association (TLA) or Temporary County Parish Holding Number (tCPH) forms. We regularly deal with bodies such as the Rural Payments Agency (RPA), DEFRA, Catchment Sensitive Farming, Natural England, Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and the Forestry Commission.
