Emma Reynolds confirmed at the NFU 2026 conference that Capital Grants are expected to reopen in July 2026 with an increased budget of £225 million. We are awaiting further details to be unveiled ahead of the grant opening for applications.
It has also been confirmed that the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) will re-open with a £50 million budget, helping to support farmers to invest in equipment to improve productivity, animal health and welfare and slurry management. FETF26 will open for applications on 17th March and close at midday on 28th April.
The Farming Innovation Program will receive £70 million worth of funding aimed at cutting edge research into practical tools allowing farmers to grow their business. £30 million of this funding will be dedicated to the ADOPT competition, with the next round forecast to open on 9th April.
